The first rays of a new dawn on Thursday outlines the crane awaiting to lift the initial shipment of wind turbine blades from specially-designed rail cars onto awaiting trucks for delivery to the Briscoe Wind Farm project in Briscoe County. The initial shipment from Warren, Minnesota, of 45 turbine blades arrived at the Transportation Technology Services distribution center in east Plainview early Thursday. TTS is scheduled to deliver the necessary components for 81 GE 1.85 megawatt 87M turbines for the Briscoe Wind Farm during the coming weeks. Groundbreaking for the local TTS distribution center is set for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, after being delayed due to inclement weather.
